vox Arabica proprie passus seu gradus, inde pro intervallis et spatiis, quibus Alcoranus distinctus est, adeoque pro capitibus eius usurpatur. Sed et lectio seu pensum pueris propositum Sura; unde et Suras illas Alcorani quidam volunt dictas, quasi dictatas ab Angelo Muhammedi, ut ipse credi voluit. Imo et Sura, pro qualibet librorum distinctione, maiori minorive; uti videre, est apud Salmas. Prolegom. in Solin. ubi de librorum divisione, apud Veteres, Hebraeos, Graecos, Romanos, Arabes, varia egregia. Vide quoque supra Coran.
